"Plug in" Navigation lights
« on: August 18, 2013, 07:28:18 AM »
Does anyone has the same "plug in" navigation light connection?
And are the navigation lights available?

That was either a std. Attwood or Perko light, round hole with orienting slot, 2 round pins for elect. connection, sound right, if so several were interchangeable, I've even seen these for sale at Wally world.

Thanks Ron!
I'm allready searching for one!
I think it's an Attwood if I look at the pictures.

Or is there no difference between the two?

Carefully measure the length and width, some later models have been shorter overall the 2 screw holes at one end will line up but the other side may not cover the original 3rd hole

yes 2 pins / for 2 wires a switched hot and a ground

the actual  fitting has 3 screw holes to mount the fitting to the deck - and the newest attwood fitting is about 3/8" (10cm?)
shorter than the old one

the 2 screw holes in the front will line up correctly,  you will have to drill a new 3rd hole @ the rear of the fitting - unfortunately the new attwood fitting will not completely cover the original 3rd hole

Yes, you should be able to buy the pole/light. I did that several yaers ago. Perko makes afew of them that should plug right in.
When people run down to the lake to see what is making that noise, you've succeeded.
