Marine Carb vs. Automotive
« on: July 29, 2014, 07:03:04 AM »
Hi all,

My boat dealer has informed me that my '88 Advance has an automotive carb on it.  The carb needs to be rebuilt or replaced.  Should I replace this with a marine one, or have them rebuild the automotive one?

Thanks all.

Marine carb will be safer with protection against fire.  My boat also has an automotive carb but when I get the cash I'll be replacing it with marine.
