Holley 4160

Just rebuilt and installed carb on my 83 PCM 351, engine starts and seems to idle ok until I give it gas, then stutters or shuts off.
Question what to check as a starting adjustments as I can't seem to find paperwork?
Thanks

Start by making sure the accelerator pump arm doesn't have any slop. It should be snug against the pump. The slightest movement of the throttle should get gas pumping out of the squirter nozzles in the throat of the carb.

Also make sure you have the idle air screws setup for the highest RPM or vacuum if you're using a gauge while warmed up and in gear. You can only do that on the water.
When people run down to the lake to see what is making that noise, you've succeeded.
